A landscaped boardwalk of over two miles runs along the beach. Since its revamp, the area offers a full program with something for everyone.

The beach is ideal for sunbathing while enjoying a beautiful view of the Verrazzano Bridge. It is regularly maintained and clean and is supervised during the summer season. During this period, it offers several events such as concerts to entertain visitors.

Cycling enthusiasts can cycle along a scenic path. Other activities such as kayaking, tennis and fishing (at the Ocean Breeze fishing pier) are also popular.

A park on the beach has been designed especially for the elderly. It includes chess tables, benches and petanque courts.

For a bite to eat, there are restaurants and canteens throughout the area. For example, you can enjoy a good pizza in one of the island’s pizzerias.

The South Fin Grill, just a few steps from the water, serves steaks and a variety of seafood dishes. It has a large outdoor bar and at weekends a DJ provides entertainment.

After an eventful day, spend the night under the stars at Fort Wadsworth’s campsites. There are showers and you can even have a good barbecue on site.
