The Motto By Hilton New York City Times Square is a brand new hotel, opening in September 2023. Located at 152-154 W. 48th Street, in the heart of Manhattan, this 400-room hotel offers modern and trendy accommodation just a stone’s throw from Times Square.
Context of the test
We tested the Motto By Hilton Times Square on 16 and 17 November 2024. We stayed on the 24th floor in room 2429, a Queen-Size Bed – City View room measuring 14 m². The rate was $399 for the first night and $214 for the second, excluding meals.

Motto By Hilton Times Square test & review
As soon as we arrived, we were seduced by the very Instagrammable style of the hotel. The modern, trendy decor lends itself perfectly to souvenir photos, both in the rooms and in the lobby and bar.
The room, although compact at 14 m², is beautifully appointed. The open-plan concept may come as a surprise, with the shower and washbasin integrated directly into the living area. The WC, separated by opaque glass, offers little privacy.
The bedroom on the 24th floor was sheltered from street noise. However, the soundproofing leaves something to be desired, with noise from the corridor being quite audible and the air conditioning noisy.
The bedding, a little hard for our taste, may not be suitable for everyone. With one side of the bed stuck to the wall, some couples may find their nocturnal wanderings disrupted.

At $399 a night on weekdays and $214 at weekends, the Motto by Hilton Times Square offers mixed value for money. If you’re in New York for a very short stay, the location of the Motto by Hilton Times Square is ideal for visiting New York’s must-see attractions. At just $200 a night, the hotel is an attractive option given its central location.
